Reviews for Restoran E&Y Maju
Review highlights
Based on 535 reviewsRestoran E&Y Maju is well-regarded for its consistent food quality and convenient location in Johor Bahru. Customers frequently praise its flavorful dishes, particularly the spicy chicken and various curries, alongside traditional items like roti canai and kuih tiew goreng. The restaurant’s affordability is often highlighted, though some note that prices are slightly higher compared to typical mamak outlets, likely due to its city-center location. The establishment’s 24-hour operation adds to its appeal, providing a reliable option at any time. While the food generally meets expectations, certain items such as the roti and coffee receive mixed feedback regarding temperature and sweetness. Service is described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a relaxed dining atmosphere. Some patrons also emphasize the importance of respectful behavior, especially regarding smoking regulations near the premises.
I hv been eating lunch here for the pass 12 years , i like the spicy chicken, and the motton curry also very nice
16Feb25, Sun - Decided to give this place a try despite some bad reviews as it is opened till late. We had: kuih tiew goreng daging RM11 (not bad, quite generous with the beef), ayam goreng RM5.50 (not bad, just not hot), tosai paper RM2.80 (ok, not crisp), roti canai RM1.60 (not bad, slightly crisp), kopi si kosong peng RM2.90 (ok), roti bom RM3. Paid RM26.80 in all. Their quoted prices are not accurate - eg was told RM10 for the daging kuih tiew and RM3.90 for the kopi si kosong, etc. However as it still balanced out, we didn't complain.
Reasonable price for the roti canai. Coffee was still sweet despite me asking for kurang manis.
The food i ordered was terrific! The staff were helpful and i like to enjoy my time to chill here. Everything was great! The price is affordable, i had mixed rice with fried chicken tandoori, roti canai with curry on the side and an ice barley for the drink.
Always convenient , well price a bit high for a mamak, but as it is located in city area. Couldn't complain for it's 24 hours too. People, respect the rules 3meter away from eating places when you guys wanna smoke
If you want mamak style dishes, you should go here. From nasi kandar to roti telor. Dont forget to order roti boom for the dessert. The tea ice and kopi ice are great as well. The place is spacious and you can enjoy the cool wind, especially in the night. If you're lucky, some stray cats will visit you, asking for food.
Service is good, cleaning is good, parking space is not an issie
I know to some this plate looks messy, but plz don't be fooled by appearances. The food here is simply amazing & you can't beat the flavor, quantity & price. Especially for OMAD'ers.
